Some milestones don’t look spectacular. No new hardware. No visible change. Just a silent update.
Recently, we deployed the first over-the-air update on the DotLink Unit. Fully secure, remotely executed, and aligned with the Cyber Resilience Act.
A small step on paper, but a fundamental shift in reality.
With a secure OTA infrastructure in place, DotLink becomes something else than a fixed product: a system that can improve after deployment.
New features. Performance updates. Fixes. Without touching the machine. Often, making something super easy is actually very complex. Behind this update sits a complete stack: a secure bi-directional 4G connection, encrypted firmware delivery, controlled deployment and execution, and hardware support for the required encryption.
This is not just an update mechanism. It is the foundation of a software-defined machine architecture.
This milestone is part of the LEV Smart Charging project, supported by the MIT R&D subsidy and developed in collaboration with regional partners.
But mind you: this first update is not the highlight. It is the starting point. We’re looking forward to sharing more as the system evolves. Be sure to follow our social channels and our website if you want to stay in the loop.
