Electric Vehicles

eMobility

is the future

Like no other, the mobility sector is a part of the energy transition. Congested roads, personal preferences and growing social awareness ensure the accelerated rise of Light Electric Vehicles (LEV). This includes electric scooters, mopeds, mobility scooters, but also wheelchairs and golf carts. Electric passenger cars are now commonplace on our roads, but heavier vehicles are also increasingly being designed as electric models; the so-called Heavy Electric Vehicles (HEV). This includes trucks and buses, but also boats and planes.

Our expertise lies mainly in the LEV and HEV segments

Durable, powerful and personal

In the past, the electric variants of vehicles and machines were still a weak reflection of their fuel-powered counterparts, but now we see that electric vehicles are in no way inferior to their fossil brothers. In fact, in many cases the electric variants are faster and more powerful! An electric vehicle has immediate access to maximum torque; Anyone who has ever been ‘launched’ in, for example, a Tesla will not quickly forget that first time. Another major advantage is that an electric drivetrain is much less maintenance-sensitive than a fuel-driven drivetrain. We also see much more variation in electric vehicles, including small and personal means of transport.

Light Electric Vehicles (LEV)

We are at a tipping point in the world of mobility, and Light Electric Vehicles (LEVs) are playing a leading role in this sustainable revolution. We mention some examples and advantages. Be inspired and submit your challenge to us!

Types of Light Electric Vehicles

We see an increasing diversity of LEVs that contribute to a cleaner and more efficient way of traveling.

Electric scooters, or e-scooters, are a popular choice in urban areas. They are quiet, efficient and emit no harmful exhaust fumes, making them a perfect fit for a sustainable urban environment. And let’s be honest: in cities, you are often faster with an e-bike or e-scooter than with a car or public transport.

Compact and convenient for the last part of your journey, e-scooters are increasingly seen as a useful way to reduce traffic congestion, especially in cities where parking space is at a premium. You can easily take them with you on the train, bus or tram.

In addition, there are electric wheelchairs and mobility scooters, specially designed to provide mobility to people with limited freedom of movement. An electric wheelchair is ideal for around the house and in the neighborhood. For longer distances, you can use an electric mobility scooter. Both modes of transport contribute to inclusive mobility and improve the quality of life of the elderly and people with physical limitations.

Segways and Monowheels, with their self-balancing technology, are finding their way into personal transportation and tourist exploration. You place a Monowheel in the back of your (electric) car for the last stretch in the city center. Depending on the city in question, the investment is quickly recouped with the saved parking costs.

Golf carts, originally designed for golf courses, are increasingly being used at campsites, resorts and in some urban neighborhoods. You see the supply of electric vehicles increasing and people becoming more creative in their personal mobility solution.

Benefits of Light Electric Vehicles

The benefits of LEVs are compelling and range from environmental friendliness to efficiency and traffic reduction. They do not emit harmful exhaust fumes, making them a sustainable alternative to vehicles that run on fossil fuels. As a result, they contribute to cleaner air quality and reduce CO2 emissions.

In addition, LEVs are typically much more efficient in terms of energy consumption than traditional vehicles, making them more cost-effective and reducing our dependence on fossil fuels. Furthermore, they lead to less traffic congestion, especially in busy urban areas, resulting in shorter travel times for everyone.

Where a Light Electric Vehicle supports our own movement (like in eBikes), they help to keep us moving comfortably. LEVs have positive effects on our health.

The future of LEVs

In the near future we can expect many developments in the world of LEVs. Battery technology will continue to improve, increasing the range of various LEVs and making them suitable for longer journeys. Sharing platforms for LEVs will increase accessibility, while integration with existing public transport systems makes it possible to switch seamlessly between different modes of transport.

Governments are expected to introduce rules and regulations for the safe integration of LEVs into traffic. We also provide LEVs with improved lighting, braking and other protective measures.

You have more and more choice in which LEV suits you best. Choose based on design, size, functions and technology. And as technology continues to develop and infrastructure adapts, we can expect LEVs to play an even more prominent role in our daily mobility.

Heavy Electric Vehicles (HEV)

In addition to passenger cars, we also see heavier vehicles for freight and passenger transport making a shift to electric propulsion. Trucks, buses, but also electric boats and planes are in full development. There are still some challenges in terms of refueling and charging infrastructure, especially in terms of coverage, but the possibilities are endless! We mention some examples for inspiration:

Examples of Heavy Electric Vehicles

Electric trucks and vans are the forerunners behind the transition to emission-free freight transport. They are powerful, quiet and do not emit harmful exhaust fumes. More and more logistics companies worldwide are investing in electric trucks and buses to reduce their ecological footprint. We also see city buses taking a step towards becoming electric in the field of passenger transport. They reduce air pollution and noise pollution in cities, while offering travelers a comfortable and environmentally friendly way to travel.

Electric boats are gaining ground in the shipping sector. From small pleasure boats to ferries, electric propulsion reduces the impact on waterways and lakes, benefiting both the environment and local communities. And how about electric harbor cranes? These are in many ways suitable for electrification.

Although still in its early stages, electric aircraft are considered by experts to be the future of the aviation industry. They have the potential to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions in aviation, but of course there are major risks involved. It is certainly inspiring!

Benefits of Heavy Electric Vehicles

HEVs do not emit harmful exhaust fumes, making them ideal for a crucial role in global efforts to improve air quality and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In addition, electric propulsion systems are generally more efficient than traditional combustion engines, making HEVs cost-effective in the long term. And let’s not forget that electric vehicles are much quieter than traditional vehicles.

HEV developments

Heavy Electric Vehicle technology is rapidly developing. For example, the development of advanced batteries will increase the range of HEVs and improve their performance. The aforementioned expansion of charging and refueling infrastructure for HEVs will drive their adoption in the professional market and HEV manufacturers will continue to innovate to make vehicles lighter, more efficient and safer.

Governments are also investing and are expected to introduce regulations worldwide to support and accelerate the transition to electric vehicles.
